
About AbdulMalik Ishola
AbdulMalik Ishola is a budding legal professional with a strong focus on energy, infrastructure, and environmental law. He holds a First Class LL.B. from Afe Babalola University, where his thesis critically examined Nigeria’s Electricity Act 2023. He is currently completing his Barrister-at-Law training at the Nigerian Law School.
AbdulMalik is a 2025 participant in the prestigious Regulation of the Power Sector program at the Florence School of Regulation (European University Institute), where he studied electricity market design, transmission and distribution frameworks, and regulatory strategy. His recent experiences include legal internships at Banwo & Ighodalo, where he worked on power purchase agreements, energy infrastructure transactions, and regulatory compliance. He also contributes to climate and ESG policy research as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Oil, Gas, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development.
