In line with ICELIS Global’s partnership with the Produced Water Society during the 2nd Edition of the Qatar Edition – Middle East Produced Water Oilfield Symposium and Exhibition 2025, Elena Athwal (Founder and Chief Executive Officer, ICELIS Global), moderated the panel on Produced/Industrial Water Environmental Compliance and Practices during day 1 of the event.
During the session, Elena Athwal expertly applied her knowledge and understanding of global environmental and water management policies to steer the conversation and engage the panelists. This drove dialogue during the panel session on how policy tools can bridge the gap between international environmental obligations and on-the-ground implementation in the MENA energy sector, as well as measures through which circular economy principles transform produced water from an operational liability into a resource stream supporting regional sustainability goals.
