ICELIS Global pays Courtesy Visit to The Supreme Council for Environment, Kingdom of Bahrain

ICELIS Global Founder and CEO, Elena Athwal, visited the Supreme Council for Environment to discuss energy climate transformation and sustainable initiatives with key council members.

Elena Athwal also participated in the 4th Annual Sustainability Forum Middle East which featured a brilliant Welcome Address by H.E. Amna Hamad Al-Rumaihi, Chief Executive, Supreme Council For Environment, Kingdom of Bahrain. The event also featured a Special Address by H.E. Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General, Gulf Cooperation Council.

Highlights included the National Vision panel with H.E. Dr. Sh. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications on sustainability in economic transformation. We recognize H.E. Abdulla Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce for his contributions towards dialogue on harnessing #climate action to drive competitiveness across the MENA region.

We recognize Eng. Khalid Albalushi, Climate Change Incharge, Environment Authority, Sultanate of Oman, for his contributions towards climate advocacy across the Gulf and MENA region. We also recognize Professor Damilola Olawuyi, SAN, FCIArb, UNESCO Chair on Environmental Law and Sustainable Development at HBKU, for his immense contributions towards #climate diplomacy and leadership in the Gulf and #MENA countries.

We also applaud Layla Sabeel (Director, Climate Change & Sustainable Development, Supreme Council for Environment) for her contributions towards the event’s success.
