About Lovie Francia
Lovie Francia is a student at Georgetown University-Qatar pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service. She is currently an intern at ICELIS Global, where she contributes to operations and events support, policy briefs, and legal research.
Beyond academics, she has extensive experience in multiple aspects. She serves as the Head of Media and Design for TEDxGeorgetownUQatar and volunteers in Georgetown’s Office of Admissions where she encourages prospective students by creatively sharing her experiences.
Lovie recently coordinated a session with UNESCO professionals on climate diplomacy where she led her team to pass a policy brief to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). She was also part of the event’s media team where she oversaw logistics and outreach.
Prior to university, she graduated with High Honors and received several distinctions. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the official school publication, leading the publication of two issues in her final year. Her experience extends to research competitions as well: her team won 3rd Place in the Cornell Undergraduate Research Competition, she has competed in the National Scientific Research Competition, and has published three full research papers in the school.
Lovie has been recognized nationally and internationally, earning Best Delegate in Model United Nations three times and winning Champion at the International Essay Writing Competition organized by the Knights of Rizal in Saudi Arabia.
