About Tasneem Abdallah

Tasneem Abdallah is a final-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) candidate at Qatar University, where she studies on a distinction scholarship. Her academic and practical experience spans various disciplines, including data privacy and protection, international law, intellectual property, alternative dispute resolution, energy, and environmental law.

Tasneem has deepened her academic experience as a teaching assistant for several undergraduate law courses. Additionally, she was awarded first place in Qatar University’s 7th Youth Research Forum for her paper “Data Privacy Protection in Qatar: Analyzing Smart Grids and IoT through a Comparative Law Approach.”

Her practical training includes placements with institutions such as Al Jazeera Media Network and the International Law Association – GCC Branch, which contributed to her experience in data privacy, AI governance, intellectual property law, and international law. She currently serves as Head of Events for the Legal Awareness Society at Qatar University.

To further advance her multidisciplinary expertise, Tasneem has pursued hands-on projects in energy planning and policy development as part of an elective completed at the College of Engineering.
